Data is presented % (a) and as medians- with lower and upper quartiles and whiskers indicating the data range (b-d). p-values illustrated in b and c were obtained using the Student’s t-test, whereas in d, both the Mann–Whitney U-test for the comparison in the combined races/ethnicities and Student’s t-test for the comparison in Black/African-Americans (B/AAs) and non-Hispanic whites (NHWs) were utilized. Comparison between apoE2 and apoE4 isoforms in APOE ε2/ε4 NHW could not be performed due to the low sample number (n = 1)
