Sorting nexin-4 (SNX4) increases the plasma membrane levels of β-site amyloid precursor protein-cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1). a, c HEK293 cells were transiently transfected with SNX4 and BACE1, and SH-SY5Y cells were transfected with siSNX4 and BACE1. BACE1 was biotinylated, and the expression levels of total and cell surface BACE1 were analyzed by quantitative Western blotting using anti-BACE1 antibodies.
