HHV-6A infection of microglial cells. a Microglial cells were infected at a multiplicity of infection of 100 genome equivalent/cell. Virus transcription (RNA) was evaluated by RT-qPCR performed on the U42 virus gene, at 1, 3, 7, and 14 d.p.i., as already detailed. Results are expressed in log target molecules referred to duplicates of 2 independent assays. b HHV-6A-infected microglial cells (m.o.i. 100:1; 1, 3, 7, 14 d.p.i.) were stained with Hoechst and anti-gp116 FITC moAb.
