Body weight, food intake, and plasma triglyceride evolution after mice were fed the arachidonic acid-enriched (ARA) diet. Body weight (a) and food intake b were measured once per week, and data are expressed in grams of body weight of the mice (a) and grams of food for their food intake (b). Postprandial and 6-h fasting plasma triglycerides c were measured after 12 weeks of the ARA or oleic acid-enriched (OLE) diet, and data are expressed in grams per liter (n = 16 per group; * p < 0.05 comparing the OLE and ARA mice; # p < 0.05 comparing postprandial and 6-h fasting data).
