Hippocampal atrophy in Tg4510 mice is unaffected by treatment with TOMA. Hippocampal volume was estimated from tissue sections through the entire hippocampus using the method of Cavalieri. Volume is expressed in cubic millimeters. Tg4510 mice treated with TOMA or IgG are significantly reduced relative to nontransgenic mice (*p < 0.05).
